Zoey Deutch Gets Ready for the Chloé Show in Paris

The stars have been braving the cold for Paris Fashion Week this season—and for good reason. The city has been packed with spectacular runway shows; fresh, exciting collaborations; and endless sartorial expression. In order for Zoey Deutch to attend Thursday’s Chloé show—where creative director Chemena Kamali celebrated “soft strength,” per her show notes—the Juror #2 and The Threesome actress battled Parisian traffic and frigid temperatures (“It’s not 37 degrees outside,” she told herself repeatedly), and still arrived looking effortlessly feminine in true Chloé style. Deutch took ELLE behind-the-scenes as she got ready and journeyed to the venue, the Tennis Club de Paris. See the exclusive photos, below.
Final look created by Hung Vanngo and Rebekah Forecast. We wanted to go for the effortless Chloé-girl look. For makeup, we did some fluffy brown lashes and a little blush moment. For hair, my awkward grow-out from my pixie hair cut was proving to be a challenge, so we threw it up in a loose bun.
I loved all the seashell and gold accessories and couldn’t choose one, so I chose them all. Necklace, statement earrings, ring—they were all so fun and felt so me. And I thought the hair up highlighted those pieces in a nice way.
The most comfortable and beautifully made silk garments that went under my jacket. I could live in these pieces.
Invite for the show. No one has better floral taste than Chloé. I gasped when I saw the bouquet and immediately sent a not-so-subtle video to my boyfriend, saying: “OK THEEEESE ARE MY DREAM FLOWERS.” Ranunculus galore; drool.
Heading out. Here I am adjusting my glasses, pretending like I’m not having a panic attack about being late when I’m most certainly not late but was convinced that I was, in fact, very late.
Bumped into my friend Dree waiting for her car and looking like the coolest person that hotel lobby had ever seen at 9:30 A.M.
“It’s not 37 degrees outside. It’s not 37 degrees outside. I repeat, it is not 37 degrees outside.”
It is 37 degrees outside.
Definitely thinking that I need to find my jacket and a car with the heat blasting.
Made it to the warmth. All smiles here.
Touch-ups en route to the show. I loved these glasses so much. They reminded me of my very stylish grandmother, Pam, who recently passed away and wore the exact same multicolored lenses. It made me happy to think of her and wear something I know she would’ve loved.
This was when [photographer] Tyler [Joe] realized there was a giant white truck in front of our car, which acted as his photo assistant/very large bounce for lighting. Thank you, truck, for your lovely lighting.
My guess is I’m clapping for our genius driver who somehow time-traveled and shaved 20 minutes off our ETA. Have I mentioned I was worried about being late?
Arriving at the Chloé show. So excited to see Chemena’s vision. I think she captures the house’s spirit in the most authentic and inspiring way.

After I hugged Chemena and told her how spectacular I thought the show was, I had to rush out of there to catch a flight to go to SXSW for the premiere of my film, The Threesome. I have never looked more put together at CDG [airport]. I am so grateful I got to witness such a magical show in person. Her vision is so clear with her art, and it just keeps getting better and better.
