Best pink gin
Malfy Gin Rosa
Like a little Italian holiday on our tongue, Malfy’s Gin Rosa sings with notes of fresh Sicilian grapefruit, bright citrus, rhubarb and creamy vanilla. Buzzy and refreshing, our panel couldn’t get enough — saluti!
Origin: Italy (Piedmont)
70cl, 41% ABV

Best strawberry gin
Mermaid Pink Gin
Mermaids and strawberries might sound a bit sickly sweet but rest assured, this is a surprisingly complex gin. Give it a whiff and the strawberries are the first thing you’ll notice, with samphire providing a touch of salinity, not unlike a cool sea breeze. Looking for a gift? We reckon this beautiful bottle is sure to hit the mark. Our panel enjoyed it best with elderflower tonic.
Origin: England (Isle of Wight)
70cl, 38% ABV

Best for negronis
Kyro Pink Gin
Negroni fans, we’ve found your summer serve. The botanicals are off-the-scale complex in this peach-coloured spirit. Fruit-wise you have strawberries, earthy rhubarb and Scandi lingonberries, which results in a tart, smokey, spicy pink gin that we’re confident you’ll love.
Origin: Finland
50cl, 38.2% ABV

Best Cornish gin
Tarquin's Rhubarb and Raspberry Gin
Oh we do like to be beside the seaside and Tarquin’s Cornish gin transports us right there. Big on sweet raspberry jam, it’s balanced with tart rhubarb, and fragrant juniper. Like a boozy rhubarb sorbet, except you won’t find any added sugar in this super fresh spirit.

Best raspberry gin
Chase Raspberry and Basil Gin
Imagine a punnet of fresh, plump raspberries left to soak in gin and you’ll be someway to imagining what this British delight has to offer. Testers found it more complex than expected, with a fruity elegance that would work a treat in a gin basil smash.
Origin: England (Herefordshire)
70cl, 40% ABV

Best for red wine fans
Chapel Down Pinot Noir Gin
From the makers of our favourite English sparkling wine, comes this elegant blush, made with pinot noir grapes. It even smells a little like a red fortified wine, with sweet notes of cherry, raspberry and citrus, leading to a peppery, juniper finish. It’s made to be enjoyed al fresco.
Origin: England (Kent)

Joint best rose-flavoured gin
Silent Pool Rose Expression Gin
Silent Pool’s rose expression contains an impressive line-up of 24 botanicals, including aromatic kaffir lime leaves, chamomile, elderflower and delicate rose. With the creamiest, smoothest mouthfeel, it begins with berry sweetness, and develops into a total Turkish delight.

Joint best rose-flavoured gin
Mirabeau Rose Gin
Give your wine glass a rest - this pretty pink gin takes its inspiration from the perfumed rose and herb gardens of Provence. It’s still very much a classic style though, with punchy juniper and uplifting lemon at the fore. Just add a splash of vermouth for a fresh martini.
Origin: France (Provence)

Most versatile pink gin
Salcombe Gin ‘Rosé Sainte Marie’ Natural Pink Gin
Taking its name from a Marseille lighthouse, Salcombe’s elegant gin is also inspired by the flavours of the South of France. This time it’s fresh lemon and orange, backed up with natural-tasting strawberries, rose petals, orange blossom and fiery pink peppercorn. One to enjoy on a balmy summer evening, garnished with a fresh strawberry — whether that’s in sunny Devon or further afield.
Origin: England (Salcombe)
70cl, 41.4% ABV

Best eco-friendly pink gin
58 Gin Pink Apple and Hibiscus Gin
Made in East London using ‘wonky’ apples shunned by the supermarkets, 58 Gin is a spirit with a conscience. It tastes unexpectedly spicy, sour, and heavily floral (that’ll be the hibiscus) and is bottled in 100% recycled glass. Try it with tonic, or a splash of cloudy apple juice.
Origin: England (East London)
70cl, 43% ABV

Best Scottish gin
Edinburgh Gin Rhubarb and Ginger Pink Gin
Rhubarb and ginger — it’s a winning combination, whether in a crumble or a cocktail. Our testers thought Edinburgh Gin got this recipe spot on, suggesting the aromatic fruit and warm spicy notes needed nothing more than a simple tonic to serve.
Origin: Scotland (Edinburgh)
70cl, 40% ABV

Best traditional pink gin
That Boutique-y Gin Company Proper Pink GIn
Traditionally the phrase ‘pink gin’ was used to describe proper dry gin with a splash of angostura bitters — and this bottle aims to honour that definition. As such it’s all about the classic juniper here, and is far removed from the sweet, fruity concoctions you’ll find elsewhere on this list. Our testers enjoyed the classic gin flavour but were a bit thrown by the lack of fruit, however we reckon traditionalists will approve.
Origin: England (Kent)
50cl, 46% ABV

Best floral gin
Eden Mill Love Gin
Combining rose petals, raspberry and rhubarb, Eden Mill’s Scottish spirit is grassy and herbaceous, without the expected fruitiness. Instead you’ll enjoy more of a classic pink gin, with plenty of powerful juniper. Expect a lovely long floral finish.
Origin: Scotland (St Andrews)
70cl, 42% ABV

Best pink gin liqueur
Haymans Peach & Rose Gin Cup
Ok, so this is technically a liqueur, but its peaches and cream appeal is too good not to share. The perfumed flavour and sweet floral elements are equally delicious when drunk neat or with tonic. Alternatively, for a sociable summer serve, try mixing with lemonade, mint and strawberries in a big pitcher — who needs Pimm’s?
Origin: England (London)
70cl, 25% ABV
