The Most Memorable Kissing Moments from the MTV Movie Awards
The MTV Movie and TV awards are back
Last night, the MTV Movie and TV Awards were held in LA, welcoming back celebrities on the red carpet, like Elizabeth Olsen and Lana Condor.
Apart from all the fashion, we're always tuning in to make sure we catch the kissing moment. Usually, the winners or presenters of the award for The Best On-Screen Kiss pull some sort of spectacle including cringe worthy awkward pecks on the cheek and full on snogs, to reenact the perfect on-screen moments.
And this year, despite a year off the awards in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the kissing was back in full force with social media reacting as expected.
Recalling just what a spectacle this has become over the years, here is a look back at the most memorable kissing moments from the MTV awards over the years.
2021 - Chase Stokes and Madelyn Cline
The Outer Banks co-stars accepted the Best Kiss award - seeing off competition from Jodie Comer and Sandra Oh and Phoebe Dynevor and Regé-Jean Page - with an on-stage kiss.
2021 - Addison Rae and Tanner Buchanan
Presenting the 'best kiss' award, the Tik-Tok star and actor kissed her He's All That (a modern day gender role flipping remake of the 90s classic She's All That) co-star Buchanan at the ceremony in Los Angeles.
2019 - Lana Condor and Noah Centineo
Centineo thanked 'Lana's lips' while accepting the Best Kiss award for To All The Boys I've Loved Before.
2017 - Ashton Sanders and Jharrel Jerome
The two actors won the award for their kiss in the Oscar-winning movie, Moonlight.
2016 - Adam DeVine and Rebel Wilson
The comedians accepted the Best Kiss award on behalf of their Pitch Perfect 2 characters and naturally put on a show for the awards' audience too.
2015 - Amber Rose and Amy Schumer
The model and actor kissed on stage at the ceremony.
2014 - Rhea Durham and Mark Whalberg
The married couple kissed on the red carpet.
2014 - Will Poulter
The British actor brought the house down with his acceptance speech on behalf of the two We Are The Millers co-stars he shared the award-winning kiss with, Jennifer Aniston and Emma Roberts.
2012 - Kristen Stewart
Receiving the award again (Stewart and Pattinson one this award for the Twilight saga four years in a row, might we add) this time Stewart accepted it solo and so recreated her on-screen kiss solo too.

For The Notebook, of course. The kissing-in-the-rain moment from the film was recreated by the then couple with a run up, jump and long kiss perfectly choreographed to Maroon 5's 'She Will Be Loved'.
2004 - Paris Hilton and Carmen Electra
Snoop Dogg and Hilton presented the former Baywatch star with the Best Kiss award in 2004 for Starsky & Hutch, during which Electra kissed Owen Wilson and Amy Smart.
