Back for the fourth and final time is Renée Zellweger as the film's titular character. This time round, Bridget is still reeling from the hurdles of modern day dating, alongside the added complications of dealing with grief and re-entering the dating game, where she finds herself a new and younger boyfriend, Roxster (Leo Woodall)
While there are no plans to continue the story of Bridget Jones, Zellweger shared her thoughts on possibly reprising the role in the future.
'Let me live in denial for a little longer,' she joked, as well as saying she had her 'fingers crossed' that there will be another film in the series to come.
Zellweger first rose to promince with her roles in The Return of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1995), Jerry Maguire (1996), One True Thing (1998), and Nurse Betty (2000).
Among her many accolades for her work, Zellweger has been awarded two Academy Awards, two BAFTAs and four Golden Globes.
Leo Woodall as Roxster in 'Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy'
Rising star Leo Woodall stars alongside Zellweger as Roxster, Bridget's sardonic, brazen and younger new love interest.
Most of us first became acquainted with Woodall in his lead role as Dexter Mayhew in Netflix's One Day, alongside Ambika Mod. Besides this, Woodall has also starred in The White Lotus (2022), Citadel (2023) and Prime Target (2025).
Next up for Woodall are a range of upcoming thriller, action and historical films including Tuner, Nomad and Nuremberg, which will see the actor.
Chiwetel Ejiofor as X in 'Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy'
Another new face in the Bridget Jones series is Chiwetel Ejiofor. The Nigerian-British actor stars as Mr. Wallaker, a teacher at Bridget's children's school.
A recipient of numerous accolades for his acting work, Ejiofor has received a British Academy Film Award and a Laurence Olivier Award, and nominations for five Golden Globe Awards and two Primetime Emmy Awards.
Ejiofor's most famous roles include Love Actually (2003), Endgame (2009), 2012 (2009), Salt (2010), 12 Years a Slave (2013), Doctor Strange (2016), Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022) and Venom: The Last Dance (2024).
Colin Firth as Mark Darcy in 'Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy'
So far, Colin Firth has played a lead role in all of the Bridget Jones films, until now, as his beloved character Mark Darcy will return to the series as the ghost of his former character.
While the star was unable to attend the premiere of the film, the film's producer Eric Fellner passed on a message from Colin while giving a speech during the screening, 'Colin said to say that he'd meet Hugh by the bins outside,' in reference to Bridget Jones: The Edge Of Reason.
Hugh Grant as Daniel Cleaver in 'Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy'
The fourth installment of Bridget Jones' will see Hugh Grant return as the charming anti-hero Daniel Cleaver, although this time, we'll get a glimpse of a more vulnerable side to the womaniser.
Throughout his career, Grant has been awarded with A BAFTA and Golden Globe, among many other accolades. Jim Broadbent as Colin Jones in 'Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy'
Jim Broadbent stars as Colin Jones, Bridget's father in the film franchise. During an interview with The Herald, 75-year-old expressed how fond he is of Zellwegger.
'She’s just brilliant, absolutely, from the word go on the first film I thought, ‘this is really an especially talented woman, and really clever, and funny, and delightful to be with.'
Broadbent is a two-time BAFTA winner for his roles in Moulin Rouge! (2001) and Longford (2007), as well as this, he has receieved two Primetime Emmy nominations for his appearances in The Gathering Storm (2002) and Longford (2007).
In 2004, he was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Spoken Word Album for Children for work on Winnie the Pooh.
Gemma Jones as Pamela Jones in 'Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy'
A seasoned actor, Gemma Jones plays Bridget's mum, Gemma Jones.
With a career spanning over six decades, Jones has featured in a number of TV, film and stage projects including Sense and Sensibility (1995), the Bridget Jones series (2001–2025), the Harry Potter series (2002–2011), You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger (2010), and Ammonite (2020).
She won a BAFTA for her role in Marvellous (2014).
Isla Fisher as Rebecca in 'Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy'
Another new character to the Bridget Jones film franchise is Isla Fisher, who stars as Rebecca, Bridget's new neighbour.
