Among the books that dominated the year of 2014 was E. Lockhart's bestselling young adult novel, We Were Liars. Thankfully, the gods at Prime Video were also fans of the un-put-downable novel, and as such they commissioned its adaptation, all eight episodes of which have just premiered on the streaming platform.
In keeping with the themes of the novel, We Were Liars tells the story of Cadence Sinclair Eastman, as those in her orbit try to piece together what happened to her the summer prior. What ensues is an all-encompassing mystery, which involves the entire family.
In case you've found yourself scratching your head at who everybody in the Sinclair clan is, we've devised a family tree that explains who's who.
