Next to Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson, Rupert Grint is one of the most recognisable faces to come out of the Harry Potter franchise. But even with a starring role in one of the most popular movie franchises, the actor has managed to keep most of his personal life private, including his relationship with longtime girlfriend Georgia Groome.
Groome is no stranger to the big screen, but who is the actor that stole Grint's heart? Here's everything you need to know.
Do Rupert Grint and Georgia Groome have any children?

They welcomed their first daughter in May of that year, saying in a statement, 'Rupert Grint and Georgia Groome are delighted to confirm the birth of their baby girl. We would please ask that you respect their privacy at this very special time.'
They have maintained their first child’s privacy, but did eventually share her name is Wednesday.
On April 27, 2025, the couple suddenly announced they had welcomed a second child, another daughter named Goldie.
'"Secret Child Slightly Revealed" Introducing Goldie G. Grint. ⭐️ A 10/10 baby (so far),' Grint wrote in the caption of a picture of the baby, who was wearing a onesie with her name on it.
In an interview with Glamour in 2022, Grint said that he is 'absolutely loving' being a father, adding that he's 'still kind of coming to terms with what being a dad is.'
'It's so much fun. I feel like I've changed as a person for sure,' he said. 'It kind of happened overnight, lifestyle-wise. I stopped smoking straight away. I've started sleeping so much better — I used to be a horrific insomniac, now I'm sleeping.'
She starred in the 2008 film Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging.
Groome is best known for her role as the lovable Georgia Nicholson in Angus, Thongs, and Perfect Snogging, a teen flick based on British author Louise Rennison's books Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging and It's OK, I'm Wearing Really Big Knickers. The story follows Nicholson as she navigates the ups and downs of being a teenager. Groome has also starred in the British film London to Brighton and comedy sitcom Up the Woman, as well as a few short films.
Groome and Grint have been dating since 2011.
The couple kept their relationship under the wraps for years, and many fans didn't realise they were dating until an old photo of the pair circulated on Twitter. A fan posted a grainy photo of Groome with long, curly hair — a clear indicator the photo is a throwback since she's kept her hair in a lob cut for the past few years — and Grint smiling while sitting next to each other. 'I was today years old when I found out Georgia from Angus, thongs and perfect snogging has been going out with Ron Weasley since 2011 ????,' the fan wrote on Twitter.
Acting is in her blood.
Groome's mother Fiona Watson was a drama and vocal coach at Nottingham Television Workshop where Groome later received training in acting. According to Groome's IMDB page, her first-ever acting gig was in a film named A Fish Out of Water that was released in 2001.
She's active on social media—sort of.
Grint may not be on social media, but Groome posts on her Twitter page every now and then. Her tweets reveal a lot about her, including that:
She collects bees.
She's a fan of Drag Race.
And she's 'obsessed' with Glossier. (Same.)
