She may be the breakout star of the most recent series of The White Lotus, but fans of the show have flocked to social media to share concerns that Aimee Lou Wood's may well be the body floating in the water, which was teased in the opening episode.
While theories have been posited that Parker Posey's Victoria Ratliff may meet an unfortunate end in this week's finale, or that Natasha Rothwell's Belinda may well meet a fate similar to her former client and almost-business partner Tanya McQuoid (Jennifer Coolidge), after the series' penultimate episode, severals signs do indeed appear to be pointing in Wood's character Chelsea's direction.

From her wayward partner Rick's (Walton Goggins) shenanigans to the clothes Chelsea's worn all season long, this is a sign that our favourite Spiritual Scorpio may be the one to meet her end this week.
Chelsea's jewellery
Social media user, Tari Gonzalez, pointed out in a recent post that Chelsea is wearing, in almost every scene in the show, a Flo London necklace that says 'Stay Gold.' That, Gonzalez argues, would be innocent enough, if it weren't for the British brand's listed inspiration for the necklace. The 'Stay Gold' necklace is inspired by the 'Stay gold, Ponyboy, Stay Gold' line in the 1983 film The Outsiders, which are, Gonzalez notes, the final words of Johnny Cade's in the film before he dies. Does that make Chelsea's jewellery choice an act of ominous foreshadowing or an easy enough mistake?
Chelsea and Rick's relationship
After Rick threatens Jim Hollinger, the owner of The White Lotus, and then promptly fleas the scene of the crime with Frank (Sam Rockwell), Frank seems to be overcome with amnesia, given that his girlfriend Chelsea is still at the very hotel that Hollinger not only owns but knows Rick is staying at. It seems odd that Jim would be threatened by Rick and not exact some form of revenge, especially given that he knows Rick's supposed location (that only Chelsea is actually at though, given that Rick and Frank went out to a club). This, coupled with the fact that a concerned Chelsea calls Rick various times throughout the night only for him not to answer, has led to fans questioning whether Chelsea is the one who is killed this season. Is it that Jim sends people to kill Rick only to find Chelsea in his place?
Aimee Lou Wood admitting that she didn't have as much time off as other cast members
In a recent interview with The Guardian, Wood innocently noted how other cast members were able to find time to fly home from Thailand in-between filming (the cast stayed in Thailand for seven months while shooting The White Lotus). 'Some people were doing a lot of darting, going home a few times, because their schedule allowed it,' Wood told the outlet. 'For some reason, my character, where I was in the story, meant I never had a big chunk of time.'
Could the reason that she couldn't peel herself away from filming be because her role was at the very core of the story Mike White was trying to tell? It certainly seems so.
