The message from Montecito is clear: there's no feud to speak of between Meghan Markle and Gwyneth Paltrow, if the Goop founder's latest social media move is to be believed.
On Tuesday, Paltrow shared a story to her Instagram profile responding to a question from a fan who asked about the supposed tension between them. The query asked: 'Are you comprehending the Meghan Markle beef that social media says you two have?'

In response, Paltrow quipped: 'I genuinely do not understand this at all whatsoever.' Turning to her right, she then asked a person hidden out of frame: 'Do you understand this?'
And, as the camera shifted, Markle can be seen sitting alongside Paltrow. In the clip, Markle shrugged before taking a bite of food and bursting into laughter alongside Paltrow, putting the rumours of a feud between the two firmly to bed.
The pair's relationship was brought into question after the release of Markle's Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, which fans deduced was the beginning of a Goop-style re-brand for the Duchess of Sussex. Asked about the rumours of a feud in a Vanity Fair interview, Paltrow diplomatically responded: 'I don’t know Meghan and Harry. I mean, I’ve met Meghan, who seems really lovely, but I don’t know her at all. Maybe I’ll try to get through their security detail and bring them a pie.'
'I was raised to see other women as friends, not foes,' Paltrow added of the comparisons between herself and the former Suits star. 'I think there’s always more than enough to go around. Everybody deserves an attempt at everything that they want to try.'
Paltrow also shared an adage that her mother, actor Blythe Danner, used to share with her when she was younger: 'Another woman is never your competition [and] what is right for you will find you.'
Paltrow launched her lifestyle label Goop in 2008 and a decade later, according to the New York Times, it was valued at $250 million (£194 million). Markle announced the launch of her lifestyle label American Riviera Orchard in March 2024 with an Instagram account and website, but, after facing trademark difficulties, later announced its rebrand to 'As Ever' in February 2025.
