It Ends With Us author Colleen Hoover has sparked concerns among fans after sharing a string of 'concerning' posts to Instagram.

Hoover returned to Instagram this week following her social media hiatus in January, before which she erased all mention of Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni from her page, the two warring stars of the adaptation of her bestselling book who are embroiled in a legal showdown over the film. Yet her return to social media this week was met with a concerned response among fans.

The author shared multiple videos, which began with her exploring the use of Diet Pepsi ice cubes in her drink, while discussing her financial predicament as the ongoing litigation between Lively and Baldoni rages.

In another video, Hoover, drinking her Diet Pepsi, also brought attention to the price of her online merchandise, revealing that items were now 'on sale for $10 an item.'

'That's, like, five times cheaper than what I paid for each item, which means by the end of the day today, I'm going to be broke as s---,' Hoover said.

'Well, I can’t retire now because now I’m going to be in the hole by 5 pm,' she joked. 'Even if you hate me, you should go buy a piece because it’s a very, kind of, bad thing.'

Fans then began questioning Hoover's virtual comments, with one asking whether the author was 'okay.'

'They must be new here,' the author wrote, sharing screenshots of worried fans' comments. 'Me making ice cubes out of Diet Pepsi is one of the least disturbing things I've posted here 😂.'

The film adaptation of Hoover's novel It Ends With Us has been mired in controversy since its release in August 2024. Lively filed a lawsuit in December 2024 accusing Baldoni of sexual harassment and a 'social manipulation' campaign against her, allegations which he denied.

Baldoni then responded by filing his own $400 million (£309 million) defamation suit against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and their publicist. Lively and Reynolds denied the allegations. Reynolds filed to dismiss that lawsuit earlier this week, US Weekly reported.
