Self-confessed super fan of the Real Housewives franchise, Nicola Coughlan, has revealed which of the series' stalwarts she thinks would be most at home on her alma mater Bridgerton.

The answer, which she confessed in an interview with Jeremy Franco, lies in one of the British breakout stars of one of the franchise's original series. 'Okay, immediately Lisa Vanderpump [Real Housewives of Beverly Hills],' Coughlan says. 'Bring us swans, darling, and it'll be just perfect.'

Franco then asks Coughlan which Housewife she'd award 'diamond' of the season to. 'Look, I just gotta give it to my girl Sonja Morgan [Real Housewives of New York] because she's perfect,' the Derry Girls star added. 'She sent me her phone number the other day. I'm not chill about it.'

Franco then adds that he used to buy Cameo videos from Morgan, before the Bridgerton star adds: 'I bought one for my friends!'

She continues, 'I love that woman [Morgan] to death, she's always my diamond of the season.'

Coughlan also recently gave an update on the filming of the fourth season of Bridgerton, in which she plays Penelope Featherington.

'It’s quite nice to take a step back and can let them [the new romantic leads] like do it all,' Coughlan told E! News at the Time Next 100 event in October in New York City. 'We’ve been filming [Bridgerton] for about a month now. But I get to pop in and out, so I get to come to New York which I couldn’t have done last year, so it’s quite nice.'

'It’s gonna be amazing,' the Derry Girls star added. 'Luke and Yerin are hard at work now. They’re having such a good time.'
