The couple married in 2016 in a private ceremony in Byron Bay, Australia. 'Being in a long-distance relationship can be really hard when you don't see the light at the end of the tunnel. It can mess with your head, so the three-week rule is key.'

After Ackerley made the occasional red carpet appearance with Robbie on the Barbie press tour in 2023, the couple made their biggest splash at the 81st annual Golden Globes a year later. Robbie — who was nominated for her role in Barbie — channelled the titular doll in custom hot pink Armani, while Ackerley opted for a black suit and tie. Just five months after their appearance at the award ceremony, Robbie was spotted in Lake Como with a baby bump, shortly before multiple sources confirmed to People that she is pregnant with baby number one.
