There have long been rumours that Hunter Schafer and Rosalía have been romantically linked. Fans have even put together the theory that the Spanish pop star's single 'Tuya' was inspired by her relationship with the the 25-year-old Euphoria actor.
In a recent interview with GQ, Schafer finally shared the truth, confirming that the pair dated for five months back in the autumn and winter of 2019. 'It's been so much speculation for so long,' she said. 'Part of us just wants to get it over with, and then another part is like, "It’s none of anybody’s f*cking business!"'
The actor and model added that she had discussed sharing the news of the former relationship with Rosalía the night before the interview. 'It’s something I’m happy to share,' said Schafer. 'And I think she feels that way too.'

Earlier this year, the pair were spotted out and about together in LA, furniture shopping and sipping Erewhon smoothies. But their relationship is now platonic, Schafer explains. 'I have really beautiful friendships with people that I was once romantically involved with,' she said, also describing Rosalía as 'family no matter what'. The singer is now thought to be dating The Bear star Jeremy Allen White.
As of the time that the interview took place, Schafer is single and still getting over her relationship with Euphoria co-star Dominic Fike, which ended in July 2023. 'I’m still in some ways healing from the last thing,' she said. 'I want to make sure I’m good all the way before I jump into something else.'
