Hailey Bieber has finally addressed the commentary surrounding her and husband Justin’s mismatched styles.
Speaking in an interview with GQ Hype, the Rhode founder said, ‘It’s so funny because I see so many people talk about this.
‘He may want to wear baggy sweats to dinner, and I might want to wear a tiny little dress just because that’s how I’m feeling. We can’t sit there and be like, “So I’m going to wear this and you’re going to wear this,” she said of her and Bieber, whom she said gets dressed before her.

After Hailey attended the launch of Rhode’s strawberry-themed collaboration with Krispy Kreme wearing an Ermanno Scervino cocktail dress earlier this year, conversations began swirling in certain corners of the internet regarding the fact that, despite his wife’s elevated dress code, Justin wore Crocs, a baseball cap, and a hooded sweatshirt and shorts.
In the GQ feature, Hailey's longtime friend, surfer Kelia Moniz, offered her opinion on the matter. ‘It’s like, it wasn’t Justin’s day. It was Hailey’s day. He’s there to support his wife, period. But also, he still looks cool, so you can’t hate the guy,’ Moniz said.
Hailey and Justin started officially dating each other in 2016 before tying the knot in South Carolina in 2018.
