Selena Gomez and Zayn Malik have been at the centre of romance rumours since they were spotted together on a rumoured dinner date in Manhattan, New York last week.
At the time, a source told Entertainment Tonight ‘they walked in holding hands and were kissing’.
The source added: ‘It seemed like they were comfortable together and it was clear that it was a date.’

Now, according to a Page Six report, it’s believed the singers have history together, from when Gomez’s friend Taylor Swift was dating Malik’s former One Direction bandmate Harry Styles, who himself was recently seen canoodling and kissing former ELLE UK cover star Emily Ratajkowski.
'They had a thing years ago, when Taylor and Harry were dating,' the insider claimed.
'It doesn’t surprise me at all that they’re potentially together [today].'
Speculation about Gomez and Malik's burgeoning romance was fuelled by TikTok user @klarissa.mpeg who claimed her friend, a hostess at a restaurant in Manhattan, had claimed that the singers had walked into her place of work 'hand in hand making out'.
News of Gomez’s apparent new flame comes after she declared herself single on Instagram back in January. The 30-year-old wrote captioned a post 'I like being alone too much' with the hashtag and '#iamsingle'.
It’s not the first time the ‘Lose You to Love Me’ singer has opened up about her love life over the years. In April 2022, ahead of her 30th birthday, she mocked her dating life in a hilarious TikTok video.
She said: 'The last time I was single I was 24 and the dating pool was everyone. And now it's like a puddle of age-appropriate men who are old and gross and I don't want to do that.'
The star previously had a highly-publicised romance with Justin Bieber, who is now married to supermodel Hailey Bieber.
Malik, meanwhile, hasn’t been romantically linked to anyone since he split from model Gigi Hadid, with whom he shares two-year-old daughter Khai.
Just days ago, a source told US Weekly: 'Gigi has no problem whatsoever with Zayn dating. As long as he is happy and stable and continues to be a good coparent to [their daughter] Khai, she’s fine with whoever he goes out with.'
