Given that one couple are pop culture royalty and the other are, well, actually royalty, it's not entirely surprising that David and Victoria Beckham reached out to none other than Prince William and Kate Middleton, to invite them to their eldest son's, Brooklyn, recent wedding.

David and Victoria also attended both William and Kate's 2011 wedding and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's nuptials in 2018 too, so it makes sense that they'd want to return the favour (and the invite).

However, new reports say that the Cambridges sadly were unable to attend Brooklyn and his new wife Nicola Peltz's grand affair over in Florida, but that Prince William sent a kind note in response.

It's kind of fair enough really, seeing as the Cambridges have three children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis – to juggle, along with their busy working schedules, and sadly Florida is a just a tad more than a bus ride away.

Shedding further light on the friendship shared by the Beckhams and the Cambridges, the same source also said, 'David's attachment and history go back with William and Kate and they have a very strong relationship and they were their choice of wedding guests. They are the people David and Victoria are attached to and it's always been about them because they’ve had a long history together.'

Hopefully they can all get together when Dave and VB are back in town? Now, that's a dinner party we would give anything to be a fly on the wall for...
