Jennifer Lawrence has revealed that she was starstruck by an unexpected co-star on the set of her new film Don't Look Up.

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the 31-year-old Silver Linings Playbook actor said it was Ariana Grande who enthralled her most, because she is 'so different'.

The Oscar-winning actor also stars alongside Hollywood actors such as Meryl Streep and Leonardo DiCaprio in the sci-fi drama, but it's Grande who made the biggest impact on her.

'I think I was more star struck to be around Ariana Grande. Because our worlds don't really collide with the musicians, and what she does is so different,' Lawrence told the news outlet.

Lawrence - who is pregnant with her first child - even teased her own album as a result of being inspired by Grande.

'I mean, I sound similar, don't get me wrong - better even. I'm coming out with something, you'll see,' she joked during the interview.

During a recent Q&A with the cast, Lawrence continued to gush about the singer, telling an audience of BAFTA voters at the Harmony Gold Theatre: 'She can’t make bad music. I’ve since reflected on my behaviour with Ariana Grande.

'I went full radio contest winner. I was so excited and nervous that at one point, I just kind of walked into her hotel room and sat down. I’ve just been thinking about it a lot lately. There were all of these trunks for her hair and makeup, and I was like, ‘Do you live here?'” Variety reported.

Adam McKay, the director of Lawrence and Grande's new film, jokingly interjected: 'She didn’t like you.'

The actor also opened up about her admiration for the multi award-winning Devil Wears Prada actor Streep, noting: 'I mean, Meryl Streep is the actual greatest actor that has ever lived, and when you watch her in person it only confirms that.'

Lawrence isn't one to hide her fangirling tendencies from the press, having previously expressed her love for Pretty Women's Julia Roberts.

After Roberts told MTV of Lawrence 'I think she's fabulous, but she seems cooler than me', Lawrence reacted: 'Wow, that's so cool. Julia Roberts talked about me.'

During an interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2017, after revealing that the likes of Zoe Saldana and Cameron Diaz are her neighbours, Lawrence also said she has gone on hikes with the actors.

She's even been photographed on a night out with friends Emma Stone and Adele.

Zoe Kravitz, a famous friend of the Mother! star, also said during an interview with Rolling Stone almost 10 years ago, that upon arriving at Lawrence's house for the first time, the mother-to-be greeted Kravitz in just a towel.

'We get really stupid — like Beavis and Butt-Head level,' Kravitz said of the pair's friendship and sleepovers. 'We'll eat bad food and watch bad TV, and then [Lawrence] will just lie down on the bed and curl up like a little puppy.'
