Kylie Jenner has started off 2021 not with a bang but with a purge, seemingly unfollowing several celebrities’ Instagram accounts leaving just 28 worthy of her attention.

A quick look at the 23-year-old’s Instagram account today and you’ll see that Jenner is now just following a handful of accounts.

Those lucky enough to have a ‘follow’ by the beauty mogul include her family members – Kris Jenner, Caitlyn Jenner, Kendall Jenner, Khloé Kardashian and more – and her ex Travis Scott, BFF Stassie Karanikolaou, Scott Disick and several Kylie Cosmetics and fashion fan accounts.

It’s unknown when Jenner began her social media purge but she is seemingly no longer following the likes of singer Rosalía, Disick’s ex Sofia Richie and family friend Fai Khadra, who was recently spotted on the Kardashian/Jenner family’s New Year’s trip to Aspen.

The decision to unfollow so many accounts may be part of a social media cleanse for the Californian star, who in 2019 spoke about the mental health issues she’s struggled with over the years, growing up in a famous family and on social media.

‘Growing up in the light with a million eyes on you just isn't normal,’ she began a caption of a picture of herself on the beach. ‘I've lost friends along the way and I've lost myself too sometimes.’

She later noted that she has ‘struggled with anxiety’ her young adult life and that everything is ‘not perfect and what you see here on social media is just the surface’.

As for those following Jenner, it’s safe to say she won’t have to worry too much with increasing her numbers, having amassed over 208 million followers in recent years.

The news comes days after Jenner shared several photos and videos of herself hitting the ski slopes in Aspen with her reality star family.

‘My little pro!!! [sic],’ the proud mum captioned a video of her two-year-old daughter Stormi snowboarding earlier in the week.

‘She is such a rock star!!!! Go Stormi go! [sic],’ sister Khloé commented on the post, with Khadra adding: ‘“Weeeeeeeeee!!!!!!” No one shreds harder!! [sic]’

This year marks a significant milestone of the famous star and her family.

On September 8 2020, Kim Kardashian announced on Instagram that the family had decided to stop filming their eponymous reality show after 14 years and 20 seasons.

‘We are beyond grateful to all of you who’ve watched us for all of these years – through the good times, the bad times, the happiness, the tears, and the many relationships and children,’ an excerpt of a caption announcing the news reads.

We can't wait to see what else is in the pipeline for Jenner and her family!
