Ryan Reynolds is seemingly a big fan of the royal family and pre-ordered a bottle of their sell-out gin to prove it.

On Wednesday, the 43-year-old actor took to Instagram to share a false receipt from The Royal Collection’s website.

'Pre-ordered,' the Deadpool actor captioned the fake order confirmation for the tipple, which listed Paul McCartney’s fictitious shipping address as: '221b Baker Street, Downton Abbey Rd, 1D4 LYF.'

The address seemingly comprises of a number of British cultural references including the street where literary character Sherlock Holmes lived and the name of the hit ITV show Downton Abbey.

The father-of-three also listed his address as ‘1 Upmanship Dr., Notcoolington, WTF FML’ and tagged his own gin company, Aviation Gin.

The actor’s company later commented on the post, explaining that it had sent the gin to McCartney because they ‘couldn’t find a faster shipping option’. The gin can currently only be shipped to homes in the UK.

The Canadian-American actor previously made fun of the famous singer back in 2018.

'Have you ever had a dream to meet someone so badly and somehow it comes true? You’re welcome, Paul,' the actor captioned a selfie of him next to the musician.

Earlier this week, the Royal Collection Trust announced the launch of its London dry gin collection, which is made from a number of ingredients handpicked from the garden of the Queen’s London residence.

By Tuesday, the gin – which is on sale for £40 – had reportedly sold out online within eight hours of its launch.

‘We’re delighted with the response,’ a spokeswoman for the trust said.

It is infused with citrus and herbal notes, and the gin is made from 12 botanicals, including lemon verbena, hawthorn berries, bay leaves and mulberry leaves.

'For the perfect summer thirst-quencher, the recommended serving method is to pour a measure of the gin into an ice-filled short tumbler before topping up with tonic and garnishing with a slice of lemon,' the website’s description of the beverage reads.
