Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik’s fans have taken to social media to speculate that her recent birthday party was also a gender reveal party, following unconfirmed reports that the model is pregnant.
On Tuesday, the internet was ablaze with reports that the couple are expecting their first child together, thanks to a TMZ story, despite neither star confirming whether or not this is true.
In the hours that followed, several of their fans have suggested that there were certain clues from Hadid’s social media posts about her 25th birthday on April 23, that suggest the pregnancy rumours could be true.

For example, one fan spotted a pink gift bag which Gigi’s sister Bella had covered up with the sunflower emoji on Instagram. It is believed that the bag had the words ‘hello little one’ printed on the front.
Hadid also received a blue Baby Shark gift bag, which has led certain fans to speculate that the birthday party might also have been a chance for the model’s close friends and family to guess the sex of the baby.
In addition, other fans noted that there were pink and blue strings attached to the birthday girl’s balloons, with some stating that in one snap of Gigi and Zayn she is holding the balloon with blue ribbon.
As a result, many believe the balloon is a clue to suggest that she’s expecting a baby boy.
According to the rumours, TMZ cites 'family sources' who claim the model is '20 weeks along', which is the stage at which scans are able to reveal a baby's biological sex.
On her birthday, Hadid shared photos from her mother’s home in Pennsylvania, where she is in quarantine with her boyfriend, sister and friends.
On the day, she was photographed eating a giant Bagel-shaped birthday cake and wearing a tiara. She styled her birthday accessory with an oversized navy blue overcoat, light jeans, boots and a jumper tucked into her belt.
The couple, who have been in an on/off relationship since 2015, haven’t spoken out following the pregnancy reports, after TMZ claimed a source told the news outlet that she is in her second trimester.
Earlier this year, the Californian star opened up about starting a family in the future.
'I think that as I get older, well one day I’ll start a family and I don’t know if I will always be modelling,’ she told i-D in February.
'I love the creative side of fashion, it’s so fulfilling. The people I work with make me so happy, I’m so lucky to be around them. But who knows? Maybe I’ll take up full time cooking!'
Earlier this year, Malik’s sister Safaa gave birth to her first child, a baby girl, a month after she married her boyfriend Martin Tiser.
