Beyoncé’s older daughter Blue Ivy has become a viral sensation after starring in a video about hand-washing during the coronavirus pandemic.

On Sunday, the singer’s grandmother Tina Knowles shared a home video of her eight-year-old grandchild showing her followers how hand-washing is crucial in order to protect yourself against germs.

The experiment, which has been shared across the world in various formats since the pandemic spread earlier this year, sees demonstrators using soap, pepper and a plate of water to highlight the importance of clean hands.

‘If you wash your hands, your hands will stay clean, but if you keep your hands dirty, you might get sick,’ Blue Ivy says.

She concludes the clip, saying: ‘Peace out, I hope you guys are staying safe. Wash your hands extra and please stay at home. Love y’all. Bye.’

‘Blue’s PSA,’ Knowles captioned the clip.

‘My brilliant granddaughter Blue did this experiment to show how washing your hands fights the virus.’

Beyoncé has stayed relatively quiet on social media since lockdown rules were enforced across the world.

However, over the weekend, the Lion King voiceover star shared a video of herself on Instagram singing Disney’s ‘Wishing On A Star’ for her followers.

The singing formed part of a virtual event streamed live in aid of the Feeding America charity on Thursday evening.
