Hours after attending her friend Misha Nonoo’s wedding in Rome, Meghan Markle made a subtle and adorable tribute to the newlywed.
Earlier this week, the Duchess and Duke of Sussex were spotted arriving in Rome ahead of Nonoo’s wedding to energy entrepreneur Michael Hess, with the mother-of-one later spotted wearing a black tulle Valentino dress at the nuptials which was attended by the likes of Karlie Kloss, Ivanka Trump and Katy Perry.
On Saturday, a post shared on the @sussexroyal Instagram page included a heart-warming shout-out to Nonoo, referencing the British fashion designer’s latest collaboration with Meghan for the royal’s Smart Works capsule collection.

The Instagram post features a series of three photos of the 38-year-old royal at the launch of the collection on 12th September. In the second photo, Nonoo and Meghan share a loving hug and a kiss on the cheek.
‘Just over one week ago, The Duchess of Sussex announced the launch of #TheSmartSet, an initiative to support the women of @SmartWorksCharity,’ the Instagram post reads. ‘In just over one week, your active support has helped equip the women of Smart Works with enough units from this capsule collection to help for a full year!
‘Though many of the items sold out quickly, most are being restocked so you can continue to play your part,” the caption continued, also spotlighting the collection’s partners — including Nonoo and Marks & Spencer.’
In September, the Duchess announced that she had created a workwear collection in aid of women’s charity Smart Works, of which she is a patron.
The 38-year-old revealed she had partner with several British high street brands including Marks & Spencer, John Lewis and Jigsaw, as well as her designer friend Nonoo, to help the charity, which supports unemployed women through interview coaching and personalised styling.
Days after the launch, Nonoo spoke of the 'unjust' criticism' her famous friends, Meghan and Harry, had endured in recent weeks.
‘I think it's unjust and I think that people should really focus on the good work that they do—a prime example of that is this,’ the designer said, referencing the star’s new fashion line,’ Nonoo told Today.
‘It's her first official engagement after having had her baby and it's all about empowering women, it's all about what she has essentially always sought to do.'
According to the designer, she and Meghan first struck up a friendship eight years ago.
On Friday, Nonoo said ‘I do’ with Hess at Villa Aurelia, a 17th century property in the Italian capital.
