While we all know the reasons why we shouldn’t ask newlyweds - or any couple for that matter - when they plan to start a family, it appears that isn’t stopping some members of the public quizzing Prince Harry on the subject of parenthood.

During a trip to Dublin earlier this month, the Duke of Sussex was reportedly greeted by well-wisher Elaine Adam-Stewart who suggested the prince and his wife, Meghan Markle, should have five children.

Rather than shun the question completely, Harry had the perfect response and replied to the royal fan’s question, saying: ‘Five children? Too many.’

Later in the day, the newlyweds met six-month-old baby Maia Pioara who reportedly became upset in the crowd, prompting Meghan to say: ‘Somebody wants to go home.’

Whether or not the couple decide to have a family in future - as previously spoken about in their engagement interview last year - the pair will no doubt be more preoccupied with their busy schedule this year.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are currently on a two-day visit to the Netherlands where the Prince is attending the International Aids Conference, showing his support for the fight against HIV.

Later this year, the couple will also embark on their first overseas tour to Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga in October.

However, a trip back to the States may first be on the cards for Markle - without her new husband.

Us Weekly reports that our new favourite princess is planning a solo trip home and that it will be 'a personal, unofficial trip... to see family and friends'.

It's a busy time for the royals this year!
