‘Mamma’ and ‘Dadda’ might be a common first word for babies born to us commoners. But, when it comes to the offspring of Hollywood heavyweights like John Legend and Chrissy Teigen, you can be sure their babies to have some pretty high-brow references.
Yesterday, Legend revealed on the Ellen DeGeneres show that he and his wife experienced a ‘milestone’ moment earlier this week with their daughter, Luna, who turns two on Saturday.
‘She said “Beyoncé” for the first time,’ the singer revealed. ‘That was Luna’s first Beyoncé. I feel like I should write it down in her baby book.’

The soon-to-be father of two – the couple are expecting a baby boy in June – continued to explain that the unforgettable moment took place during a family car outing while listening to Bey’s latest album Lemonade.
‘Chrissy and I were talking about Beyoncé, and Luna just starts saying things that we say now, and she said “Beyoncé” in the car,’ he recalled.
‘Has she said Ellen yet?’ the host jokingly asked.
The singer/actor replied: ‘Not yet, but if I say it to her, she’ll say it back. So we’ll watch the show, and she’ll see Dada on Ellen. And then she’ll say it.’
The news comes weeks after Teigen launched a social media investigation into the ‘Who bit Beyoncé?’ scandal and later revealed she’d found out the guilty party.
Opening up about the drama which is alleged to have taken place at an A-list party, Legend told DeGeneres: ‘We weren’t there first of all, but we know people who were there and they know who it was. We know who it was and we’re not talking about it.’
Earlier this morning the Sports Illustrated model posted a picture of her wedding cake to social media five years after her nuptials.
She captioned the post: ‘Someone tagged me in a photo of my wedding cake and my fatass wants cake so bad now so here is a pic of my wedding cake. It was carrot with cream cheese frosting and it was awesome. I miss you, giant cake.’
We hear you, Chrissy.
