The actor, who has played Max in the hit sci-fi series since the age of 14, revealed that is was hardly the most romantic of situations. 'We were both awkward, but it was also funny because all our friends were there and all these extras and lights and music,' she explains. As filming for Stranger Things' fifth and final season is set to begin later this year, Sink has been busy making her mark on Hollywood as a foul-mouthed, shouty hurricane of an angry teenager opposite Brendan Fraser in Darren Aronofsky's Oscar-tipped film The Whale. The film received a lengthy standing ovation when it premiered at Venice Film Festival last year, and will be released in UK cinemas in February 2023.
