Sure, the New England Patriots took on the Philadelphia Eagles in one of America's biggest TV events of the year, but all that was just padding for the real draw off the night: all those incredible movie trailers in the ad breaks.
The Super Bowl is well-known for being the place to premiere the big teasers, trailers, snippets and launch dates for the upcoming year in Hollywood, and before this year's event kicked off we were already promised a full look at Dwayne Johnson's upcoming Skyscraper as well as a first look (finally) at Star Wars spin-off Solo.
So, considering what we actually got on the night, 2018's Super Bowl certainly proved itself to be a good year in trailer department.
