The Queen's Platinum Jubliee celebrations - to commemorate her 70th anniversary on the throne, and celebrate her as the longest reigning monarch in British history - kicked off on Thursday morning with Trooping The Colour, and while it was a delight to see so many of the Royal family decked out in their finery for the event, it was little Prince Louis who stole the show.
Trooping The Colour consists of a display of military pageantry, with various royal regiments parading through the forecourt of Buckingham Palace, with the monarch (although in this case Prince Charles on her behalf) taking a salute at Horse Guards Parade, before heading to a balcony overlooking the Horse Guards to watch the flypast.
This year, as the royals took their places on the balcony, eyes scanning the sky for the beginning of the RAF display, which included more than 70 aircraft like Apache helicopters and finally the Red Arrows, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's children - Prince George, eight, Princess Charlotte, seven and Prince Louis, four - could barely contain their excitement, or in Prince Louis' case, apparent irritation.

Initially, Prince Louis pointed at planes and waved as they flew nearby, but when the aircraft bore down on the Palace, flying closely overhead and the noise became louder, Louis put his hands over his ears and appeared to be letting out a scream.
Following this the young Prince proceeded to pull a number of facial expressions that drew howls of delight and amusement from the watching crowd.
His older siblings Prince George and Princess Charlotte could reportedly be heard discussing the flypast, with George saying 'Oh yeah, look at that plane' and gesturing to a Globemaster C-17, according to The Independent.
At one point George was heard to say “Oh yeah, look at that plane” as a huge Globemaster C-17, shadowed by another, flew towards them, then its engines thundered over the palace.
