There are some celebrities you always expect to see at the Met Gala and those who seem to prefer a quiet night at home. On Saturday, May 28, pop icon Britney Spears revealed she was one of the latter. Apparently, Spears was supposed to walk the steps this year, making her debut. But she posted on Instagram that she decided to skip it.
Britney shared a video of herself posing in her living room in what looked like a short red one-piece with long sleeves, covered in a pattern of black hearts, and some chunky black boots. She moved back and forth at different angles for viewers and showed off her little cat, who could also be seen wandering in the background at one point.
In the caption, Spears wrote, 'I was gonna go to Met Gala but instead I got in the tub with my dog and put pjs on !!! I hate flying !!!'

Despite being a reluctant flier, Spears recently went on a few trips with her fiancé Sam Asghari, sparking rumours that she would soon be featured in her own Las Vegas residency. However, TMZ reported that the pics she shared on Instagram of her time in Las Vegas at the new Resorts World had nothing to do with a future booking there.
Though the resort would love Spears to be on their stage, they seemed to just be showing her a good time, including putting up a giant billboard in her honour, giving her and Asghari the $15,000 a night suite, and a pool to themselves, including Spears' agent Cade Hudson in the festivities.
From Vegas, Spears and Asghari went on to Mexico, and she even shared what look liked some pics taken on a plane featuring a massive cake.
The cake was decorated with a whimsical collection of doll accessories, and at the very centre was what appeared to be a Barbie and Ken embracing, just like the loving couple.
