Kirsten Dunst is a bit of an icon these days. We all grew up watching her in films like Bring It On and Spider-Man, and now she's busy churning out Oscar nominated hits like The Power of The Dog. But, it seems that even when you're Kirsten Dunst other people's criticism still hits hard. Especially in the scenario Dunst spoke about in a recent interview where she revealed the awkward moment she overheard another actor openly criticising her work.

Speaking during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter's Awards Chatter Podcast the Academy Award Nominated actor opened up about the uncomfortable moment which took place around the time Bring It On had just been released.

'During that age I was wanting to be taken seriously too, so I think that even though it was so successful I think there's part of me that always checks myself or checks what's around me,' she explained.

She added that she now realises how much we tend to focus on the negative, rather than the positive, referencing how much of a huge success Bring it On turned out to be.

'It's so funny how one thing can really— it's not any of the good that sticks out; it's the one bad thing that really sticks out to you always.'

Well, I guess there's a valuable little lesson to be learned here, isn't there?
