Actress Rebel Wilson has shared that she is 'struggling' with fertility issues, via an Instagram post, uploaded this weekend.
Alongside a shot of herself looking downcast and standing on a beach, she wrote a caption which stated: 'I got some bad news today and didn’t have anyone to share it with...but I guess I gotta tell someone. To all the women out there struggling with fertility, I feel ya. The universe works in mysterious ways and sometimes it all doesn’t make sense...but I hope there’s light about to shine through all the dark clouds.'
Fans and fellow celebrities were quick to comment, offering support and well wishes. 'Basic Instinct' actress Sharon Stone – who had her own issues with fertility, before adopting three children, Quinn, Roan and Laird – commented 'been there repeatedly, good news is I have three beautiful sons.'

After receiving the support, Rebel, 41, updated her caption, writing: ***UPDATE*** just wanted to say I woke up this morning and read through everyone’s kind messages and stories about their journeys and I can’t tell you how much that meant to me and has made me feel a lot better today. Social media for the win here in terms of creating connection when I was in a very lonely place. So thank you everyone 💕.
The Pitch Perfect star has previously gone on the record about her desire to have children. Last year, she revealed that she planned on freezing her eggs. In an interview with E! Online in November, she also stated that she deals with polycystic ovary syndrome.
'It’s just a hormone imbalance and you gain a lot of weight usually and that’s how it manifested in me. Sometimes I feel sad, but then at the same time, I worked my body to my advantage. I like being all sizes,' she said. She also stated that, after turning 40, she’s become 'more health conscious and thinking of starting a family.'
