Normal People is one of of those shows that has come out of nowhere (unless you read the book, of course) and blown people away with its quality, making overnight stars of actors Daisy Edgar-Jones and Paul Mescal.

And, as fan learned on last night's (May 15) episode of The Graham Norton Show, Paul has hidden talents beyond just acting: he can belt out some impressive opera too.

The duo were chatting with Graham via video calls when the host brought up the subject of Luciano Pavarotti.

Looking just a little bit embarrassed, Paul explained his adoration of the legendary opera singer, stating: 'The story with me... I have been a big fan of Pavarotti and around that time I had watched the Pavarotti documentary and had fallen viciously in love with the man.'

We're assuming Daisy told Graham about Paul's love of opera beforehand, because she had secretly acquired a video of him on a balcony, singing his heart out to the people of Italy, ready for Graham to press play on.

Fans loved seeing the duo on the show, stating that they were as adorable (and awkward) in real-life as their characters were on the show.

Elsewhere on last night's show, comedy veteran Will Ferrell flashed his "testicles" to the camera, and yes, we did manage to screengrab it.

The Graham Norton Show airs on Fridays at 9pm on BBC One, and continues next week with Katy Perry, Steve Carell, Dakota Johnson, Alan Carr and John Legend.
