Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have made their first official joint appearance in two months, since announcing they would be stepping back as senior royals and becoming financially independent from the monarchy.

On Thursday evening, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex headed to the Endeavour Fund Awards in central London, which celebrates the achievements of wounded army personnel who have competed in sport and adventure events in the past year.

For the event, Meghan and Harry looked happy to be back in the UK after spending much of the last six weeks in Canada and the US. Though Prince Harry has been seen on a couple of occasions for official royal visits over the past few weeks, it is assumed that Meghan has stayed the whole time in Canada with their son Archie. The couple announced back in January that they plan to split their time between north America and the UK equally going forward.

Meghan wore a blue, bodycon dress by one of her favourite designers - Victoria Beckham - and paired it with a chic, low ponytail and her signature centre parting.

Ahead of the ceremony, the proud parents to Archie - who turns one in May - met and chatted to nominees. During the event, both Meghan and Harry will each present an award with Harry giving a speech as well.

The event, which Harry and Meghan also attended in 2018 (wearing an Alexander McQueen suit) and last year (where she wore a Givenchy cream shirt and black midi skirt), marks one of the last royal duties for the couple before they officially stop their roles as senior royal on 31st March and embark upon new opportunities and work.

Next week, they will join other members of the royal family, including the Queen, Prince Charles and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, for a Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey. This is expected to be their last official engagement in their capacity as working royals.
