Jennifer Lopez has done it all.

Number one singles and albums, danced her way around a Las Vegas residency, starred in numerous films including her recent Golden Globe-nominated performance in Hustlers and let's not forget that she recently closed the Versace SS20 runway show.

But, believe or not, the 50-year-old star does have one major career regret.

Speaking to Vanity Fair for its Hollywood issue, Lopez revealed that she turned down a movie role that she since wishes she had taken.

'There was a movie called Unfaithful. And it was offered to me and the script, for me, wasn't all the way there. I should have known that Adrian Lyne was going to kill it but I didn't.

'Diane Lane was so perfect for it and it was obviously meant to be her but when I think about that... I want to literally, like, shoot my toe off. I do.'

That's some serious regret.

The film in question was the 2002 film starring Richard Gere and Diane Lane as a happily married couple until Diane's character Connie has an affair leading to a dramatic series of events, as evidenced by this trailer from the time:

Lane was nominated for an Oscar and Golden Globe for the performance, but ultimately lost out to Nicole Kidman for her role as Virginia Woolf in The Hours.

Lopez's latest interview comes a couple of days after social media was in uproar when the actress missed out on an Oscar nomination for her role as Ramona in Hustlers.

For her part though, Lopez seems pretty happy with life right now, regardless. She's engaged to partner Alex Rodriguez, is a mother to her twins Max and Emme and her career is definitely having a moment, with or without the Unfaithful film role listed in her CV.
