Leonardo DiCaprio and Margot Robbie have reunited for Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, six years after starring in the film which catapulted the Australian actress to household name status.

The actors first featured alongside each other in The Wolf of Wall Street. DiCaprio portrayed the corrupt Wall Street businessman Jordan Belfort (which earned him a Golden Globe) while Robbie, who previously was best known for a role in Australian soap Neighbours, played his long-suffering yet bold and fiery wife Naomi.

Now, they're working together again for Quentin Tarantino's film, in which Robbie plays Sharon Tate - the 1960s movie star who was tragically murdered at the hands of Charles Manson's cult - and DiCaprio portrays a failing actor.

While comparing the two occasions working together in an interview with Australian TV show The Sunday Project, the Titanic actor recounted the moment where he first became seriously impressed with Robbie as an actress.

Though there were many memorable scenes from that movie - the Qualude scene with Jonah Hill or the near-death boat experience, to name two - the one that sticks out in DiCaprio's mind was where Robbie threw a glass of water in his face.

'On Wolf of Wall Street, seeing Margot come in and read that scene with me I just knew I was witnessing a dynamic presence in cinema that was about to be,' he said. '[Martin] Scorcese and myself were blown away by how much she gave back to the scene, fought back and we bot immediately knew she was going to have an incredible career.'

For Robbie, the admiration is mutual.

'I couldn't believe it happened the first time,' she laughed. 'Then when I went to work with Leo again it was kind of ridiculous.'

Though little is known about the film, the stars said their on-screen dynamic in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood is 'totally different' in that they don't share many scenes together like their previous job.

'I'm more like a presence as opposed to someone throwing water in your face constantly,' the I, Tonya actress joked.

DiCaprio, Robbie and Brad Pitt, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood's other lead, all looked to have been getting on just great during the film's publicity tour.

Some of our favourite moments, aside from Robbie's incredible red carpet wardrobe, include the actress and Pitt weighing in on whether there was room for Jack on the door in Titanic and Pitt photobombing Robbie's photocall with jetés.
