Camila Morrone has hit back at the criticism over the age gap between her and her boyfriend, Leonardo DiCaprio.
On Friday, Morrone, 22, shared a black and white photo montage of classic Hollywood couple Lauren Bacall and Humphrey Bogart - a couple who had a 25-year age gap not dissimilar to her situation with DiCaprio, 44.
After captioning the photos, 'A Love Like This,' her Instagram page attracted negative comments along the lines of 'Life experiences and expectations with such a large age group [sic] is impossible to match' and and prompted numerous other people to bring up DiCaprio's track record of dating attractive models who are younger than him.

Morrone clearly noticed the comments and took to her Instagram Stories shortly afterwards to air her feelings.
'I just read some of the comments on my Instagram,' she said to the camera. 'And, my god, people are so mean and full of anger with people they know nothing about.
'I guess I just hope on this Friday that people learn to live with a little less hatred and place their time and interest elsewhere because living without hatred feels pretty good. '
Since Morrone's interjection about the comments, she's also received positive messages from people encouraging the actress to ignore the negativity, be with who she wants to be with and generally just carry on living her life.
The couple are believed to have been dating for the past year and a half and have since been spotted on various city walks together - even matching their outfits on a recent New York City excursion.
Morrone also supported her beau at the Cannes Film Festival premiere of DiCaprio's new film Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, but the private couple walked the red carpet separately.
