A Kanye West NYFW moment is one nobody wants to miss. Season after season, Kanye has stirred up excitement with his buzzy Yeezy Season shows, from taking over Madison Square Garden for his Yeezy Season 3 fashion show (which also doubled as The Life of Pablo album listening event) to hosting his Yeezy Season 4 in the sweltering heat. However, it turns out the rapper-turned-fashion mogul is taking a break from this year's spring/summer 2019 NYFW marathon.

Earlier this month, editors and fashion insiders received an invitation to equally buzzy designer Philipp Plein's black-tie "Dinner Show" at NYC's The Pool restaurant, which teased a performance by Kanye West himself. So when Kim Kardashian-West shared a video clip of Jimmy Fallon announcing her upcoming appearance on his late-night show, an excited fan re-tweeted Kim's announcement, writing, "You on The Tonight Show, Kanye rumored to be performing at Philipp Plein, all roads lead to NYFW.. Issa Kardashian West takeover."

Kim K quickly responded to the fan and shut down any talk of Kanye West performing at Philipp Plein and other fashion week shows. "He’s not performing at any fashion show this season. Just a rumor," she wrote.

This isn't the first time Kanye has stepped away from Fashion Week. Last year, Kanye opted against a traditional Yeezy fashion show and made the streets of Calabasas his runway, instead. Kim Kardashian, along with her other celebrity friends, including Paris Hilton, Kristen Noel Crawley, and Jordyn Woods, were photographed running errands in the new Yeezy Season 6 drop.
