Weeks after shutting down rumours of split with her husband of 19 years David Beckham, Victoria Beckham decided to take her eldest son Brooklyn as her 'plus one' to a star-studded charity event last night.
Attending the Argento Ball For The Elton John AIDS Foundation in Windsor, the 44-year-old posted an adorable Instagram picture of helping her 19-year-old son - who is also Elton’s godson - do up his tie, describing him as the ‘perfect date’ for the occasion.
For the party, the former Spice Girl wore a black custom made gown with a fishtail silhouette from her own label (similar here), and accessorised the chic look with a eye-catching emerald and diamond pendant.

Keeping her make-up minimal, the fashion designer sported a soft smokey eye and nude lip while her brunette hair was drawn back into a sleek low ponytail for the ball, at which tickets cost a whopping £3,500.
In another selfie, Victoria celebrated her ‘glam squad’ as she prepared for the A-list occasion, attended by the likes of Gigi Hadid’s former step-father David Foster, Elizabeth Hurley and Ed Sheeran.
Despite her adorable mother-son moment with Brooklyn, who is currently based in New York studying photography at university, several of the star’s Instagram followers were quick to call out the former pop star for taking her son as her ‘date’ and not her husband.
‘Shouldn’t David be your “date”, not your son,’ one follower commented.
‘While I think it is lovely that she is bringing her son to the ball, the photo is a tad inappropriate looking - maybe it’s the poses but it looks slightly inappropriate. Am I wrong?' wrote another.
However, others have defended the mother-of-four's decision with one user commenting: ‘It is only weird in the minds of sick people…’
Another wrote: ‘Think she looks gorg and all she is doing is putting on her sons tie who will always be her baby no matter how old x think the comments are v inappropriate.’
The debate over the Beckhams public displays of affection with their children comes a year after David took to Facebook Live to defend his decision to kiss his six-year-old daughter Harper on the lips.
Speaking in a interview, he said: ‘I’m very affectionate with the kids.
‘It's how I was brought up, and Victoria, and it's how we are with our children.
‘We want to show our kids love and we protect them, look after them, and support them, and you know, we're very affectionate with them.’
We for one couldn't be more supportive of David and Victoria showing love to their children.
