There were many things to love about Ganni's SS24 Copenhagen Fashion Week show.

Namely, a sultry Paloma Elsesser opening the catwalk, a dark wash denim midi dress I'll be looking out for come next season, a soundtrack that had even the steeliest of editors bopping in their seats, and, the newest iteration of Ganni's New Balance collection.

Seen on the runway in two of the three upcoming colourways, this is the second collaboration for the two brands, and boy, do I want a pair.

Two styles, the New Balance 1906R and the RC30, are available in yellow, white and black from today (August 16) on Ganni's website and in store, and on New Balance's website and in store from August 18.

'Honestly, we have had so much fun working on this, there is such a creative synergy between us and a lot of mutual respect for what we both bring to the table,' Ganni's Creative Director, Ditte Reffstrup said of working with New Balance for the second time.

'Collaboration is such a source of energy for me, I love working with people and finding new creative heights together. I can’t wait to go dancing in these!'

'At New Balance, our teams couldn’t be more excited to be working on another project with Ganni, 'New Balance's Marketing Manager Lauren Fitzsimmons says.

'Our brands share an organic connection and a vision of fearless creativity. Our second collaboration has a similar boldness to our first but tells a completely new story. We can’t wait for consumers to get a taste of this next iteration.'

Ganni isn't the only Scandi brand embracing the sneaker collaboration. This year we've also been treated to Cecilie Bahnsen continuing her ongoing relationship with Asics by transforming their Asics GT-2160 into Mary Jane styles that look positively enchanted.

Similarly, Ganni have put their punchy spin on the supermodel New Balance favourites, leaning into a bold yellow hue across all three styles, and delivering a chunky dad trainer, as well as a sleeker silhouette, there's something for both the maximalist and more minimal Ganni girls out there.

If I manage to nab a pair, I'll be applying the 'wrong shoe' theory and pairing them with suiting for work, or a vintage cotton dress on the weekend.
