Each season sees a few cult items emerge from the catwalks, starting a buzz almost as soon as they are snapped by the FROW – one that continues for months as fashion lovers eagerly await said item dropping in store. For SS22, that stand-out, ultra-covetable piece was Prada's satin mini skirt in bubblegum pink: the perfect mix of the year's biggest trends with its super-short hemline, luxurious feel, extravagant train, nod to Barbiecore and hint of the Y2K.
Little wonder the street style set went absolutely crazy for it, with the likes of Susie Lau, Amina Muaddi and Caroline Daur rocking it all through the AW22 shows in February styled with everything from a simple tee or crisp shirt to chunky knitwear.
