Skater sneakers. For too long now we’ve associated them with the days when we wanted to be Avril Lavigne, hanging out in our local skate-park complete with sweatbands, studded belts and thick slithers of black eye pencil.

Over the past few years however, the skate shoe has been making sneaky appearances on the runways of the likes of Celine and Alexander Wang. Yet, the fashion go-to trainer still remains the Adidas Stan Smith. Isn’t it time to shake this up a little?
