Snakeskin Print Shoes Are A Summer Must-Have — Here Are 12 Options To Wear For All Occasions

There's a pair of Topshop snakeskin print shoes I think about everyday. Okay, maybe not everyday but very, very often. Usually it's around 8.15am when I'm plotting what I'll wear to the office that day and I quickly wish that I hadn't worn them out.

At the start of my career, these snakeskin shoes were my go-tos to give even the most mundane of nine-to-five outfits a more directional edge. Since, I've been on the hunt to find a pair that can fill this very open vacancy. It's why when the SS25 shows were happening I was so thrilled to see a snakeprint shoe return in full force. From Valentino to Bottega Veneta, designers presented them as a worthy option for all manner of pursuits as the print (it's rarely the actual thing anymore and my Topshop ones were certainly not) appeared across boots, mules and strappy sandals.

For SS25, a snakeskin print is the way to go when it comes to choosing what to slip into, whether it's for running around town or for a special occasion. The style was first popular on the catwalk and has now proved equally favourable amongst brands as there's a multitude to choose from now.

At first, wearing snakeskin might feel a little Edina Monsoon but it's best to think about it like you would leopard print: as a neutral that's best thought of as the backbone of an outfit. It's easiest to do this with shoes, too. Do pair them with your florals and definitely against your denim, but maybe not with other animal-inspired patterns.
