The Runway Rundown: Tommy Hilfiger AW24

Days after announcing her ambassadorship with Tommy Hilfiger, Sofia Richie sat pride of place on the AW24 show's front row. The pregnant style star wore a classic trench over her growing bump, pairing the preppy look with red, wide-leg trousers and white flip-flop-style heels.

In-keeping with the upper crust, New York theme, Richie sat next to Gossip Girl star Kelly Rutherford.

Offering a look into Tommy Hilfiger's elite yet intimate world, the American brand invited show-goers to the Manhattan institution that is the Oyster Bar in Grand Central Station.

Guests were serenaded by Grammy Award-winner Jon Batiste and treated to the DJing skills of Questlove while sitting on wood-panelled banquet seating and drinking Old Fashioneds and Martinis.

Channeling major 1990s, Ivy League vibes, Tommy Hilfiger's AW24 collection was a celebration of all things preppy and classic Americana. Tweed, corduroy and thick, wool knits in hearty browns, bold reds and classic navy and white stormed the private bar. Oversized collars, pleated skirts and pea coats were the silhouettes of the evening, with rugby shirts being the star of the show.

Our main take away from the night (apart from that we're craving Martinis in a dimly-lit bar), is that preppy accessories are the perfect way to finish off any outfit. Oversized knit scarfs work perfectly with knee high leather riding boots, as do wool caps, thin belts and plushy rucksacks.
