Daisy Edgar-Jones made a sheer statement on the red carpet at the world premiere of On Swift Horses in Austin, Texas, on Thursday. The Normal People star opted for a look from the well-received AW25 Gucci collection, presented merely a week ago and designed by the in-house team, following the recent announcement that Demna will be taking over as creative director after Sabato De Sarno’s shock departure.

Edgar-Jones's look featured a neon-yellow-green sheer lace top paired with a metallic, almost mother-of-pearl effect pencil skirt. She accessorised with a horsebit necklace, revived from the Gucci archives, adding a touch of heritage to the largely modern look.

Edgar-Jones has long been a key supporter of Sabato’s Gucci, having previously been spotted in everything from off-duty jeans, a tailored blazer and ballet flats to a semi-see-through, white crochet three-piece set embroidered with delicate flower details. At the 2024 BFI London Film Festival Luminous Gala, she notably wore a Grecian red Gucci gown, also hot off the SS25 runway.
Her most recent look furthers her alignment with the house. But with Demna set to reshape and perhaps entirely remodel the future Gucci, the question looms: Will this be the last time we see Edgar-Jones wearing the brand? Only time will tell.
