The Ton is already abuzz with anticipation for Bridgerton’s fourth season, in which Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson), the bohemian second son, is set to take centre stage. And while we still have a long while to wait before the show hits our screens once again (2026, if rumours are to be believed), new cast member Isabella Wei is already drumming up excitement by making an unexpected appearance at London Fashion Week.

Known for her role as Kai-Ming in Netflix's hit series Black Doves, in December it was announced that Wei would be stepping into the very different world of Bridgerton. The 20-year-old actress will play Posy Li, the younger sister of Rosamund Li, who is vying for Benedict Bridgerton’s heart in season four.

Before the show, the actor expressed her excitement for the upcoming Bridgerton press tour, giving ELLE UK an exclusive taste of what's to come. ‘My looks will be fun, elegant, vampy, glamorous but you’ll have to wait and see,' Wei tells ELLE UK. The actor will be styled by Aimee Croysdill, the mastermind behind Nicola Coughlan's fashion transformation.

Earlier today, Wei sat on the front row for Daniel Fletcher’s highly anticipated creative director debut for Mithridate and wore a denim two-piece from the Chinese brand's AW25 collection for the occasion, plus black sunglasses from Jimmy Fairly. The soon-to-be Bridgerton star was joined by the likes of Vanessa Williams, Amalie Gassmann and Nicola Roberts at the show, that was held in London's iconic Brutalist Building.

British designer Fletcher took the helm at Mithridate 18 months after leaving Italian fashion house Fiorucci and now oversees the brand’s menswear, womenswear and accessories. His appointment was marked by a campaign starring British It-girl Alexa Chung wearing a fluffy knit jumper, a crisp striped Oxford shirt and cotton shorts from the new collection.

The Cheshire-born designer, who is also the founder of his namesake menswear label, has been instrumental in shaping London’s creative output for nearly a decade. This latest venture marks an exciting redirection for the brand, that was founded in 2018 by Tina Jiang. Mithridate’s headquarters are in Guangzhou, China, where Fletcher currently divides his time.
