After closing the British leg of her Renaissance tour — during which she championed a cadre of homegrown designers — Beyoncé took to the stage in Amsterdam on Sunday evening to shine a light on Black fashion brands.

Taking to Instagram to share a series of photos, in which the multi-hyphenate can be seen wearing a red rhinestone dress, Bey wrote: ‘In honour of Juneteenth, everything I wore for RENAISSANCE WORLD TOUR tonight was created exclusively by Black designers.’

The Black designers Bey championed on stage included London label Feben, Maximilian Davis for Ferragamo, Olivier Rousteing for Balmain, Ibrahim Kamara for Off-White, LaQuan Smith, and several of her own designs for Ivy Park, the athleisure brand she founded in 2016. Beyoncé has collaborated with stylists KJ Moody, Shiona Turini and Karen Langley for her disco-inspired Renaissance tour.

Juneteenth is a federal holiday in the United States which commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans.

Beyoncé has made a point to champion designers local to the areas in which she’s performed during the tour so far. The star performed on stage in Amsterdam in a design by Iris van Herpen, which was crafted from 980 different shapes, Swarovski crystals and a glass-organza cape. The 'Heliosphere' outfit involved 12 people from Iris van Herpen's atelier, who worked over a total of 700 hours on the look.

In London, the Ivy Park founder threw her weight behind British brands including Alexander McQueen — Bey wore a maroon dress-and-boots combination lifted straight from the label’s AW23 collection — and Roksanda.
