It's a good day in the celebrity fashion world when a pop star coordinates outfits with her child.
In this case, Madonna twinned in Adidas athleisure with her 16-year-old son, David Banda, while the two attended the WBA World Lightweight Championship this past weekend.
Madonna opted for a baggy black tracksuit with the brand's iconic white stripes running down the sides from the Balenciaga x Adidas spring 2023 collaboration. She went big on the accessories, carrying a black bag and wearing layers of chunky silver necklaces and bracelets, baby pink-framed sunglasses, and black gloves.

Meanwhile, Banda kept up with his mother's glamorous appearance and made a fashion statement in his own right. He wore a red-hot T-shirt dress from the athleisure brand's recent collaboration with Gucci. The piece featured long sleeves, a plunging V-cut neckline, and a high leg slit. Like Madonna, he accessorised with silver jewellery, as well as a pair of yellow-framed sunglasses, a black shoulder bag, and black trainers.
Madonna additionally shared photos from their outing on Instagram, captioning the post, 'Family fight night 🥊♥️🥊♥️🥊♥️ #davidbanda #boxing.'
Banda is known to occasionally play with the boundaries of fashion. Last year, the 'Material Girl' singer shared a video of Banda modelling a white maxi dress emblazoned with a black letter print from Mae Couture. He paired the piece with white trainers, sunglasses and bracelets.
'It's so freeing, you know what I mean?' Banda is heard saying at the end of the video.
Madonna echoed his sentiment, captioning the clip, 'Confidence is Everything.'
