The BRIT Awards are a hotbed for bold fashion choices. It's not somewhere you necessarily expect to spot a red carpet teaming with avant garde runway looks, or even a place for classic tailoring. This particular annual event usually plays host to fun co-ords, buttox-skimming minis and a few barely-there bodystockings.
So it was with a sigh of relief that we watched Adele bring some old school Hollywood glamour to the proceedings. Sporting a custom-made Giorgio Armani Privé gown, featuring a tulle décolletage and tail, the 33-year-old 'Hello' singer glided into the O2 arena looking straight out of the silver screen. Team Armani have even released the original sketches for the design.
And it's just as well that she was outfitted like a Queen, considering she was honoured as one on the night, scooping up both 'Best Song' for her comeback single 'Easy On Me' and also 'Best Album' for her latest output 30.

However, it wasn't just her spectacular black velvet dress which had everyone talking, but the piece of special jewellery that she was sporting on her left hand. On her ring finger, Adele appeared to be wearing a giant, rather dazzling diamond, leading many to assume that the Lorraine Schwartz pear shaped stone was an engagement ring.
And not just that, but the singer-songwriter seemed to be quite keen to show it off, often gesturing with her left hand or using it to push her hair over her shoulder.
Adele has been dating sports agent Rich Paul since the summer of last year. The pair first made a public outing together at a basketball game in Arizona. Since then, she's spoken publicly about her affection for him: 'He’s just hilarious. Oh, he’s so funny, he’s hilarious, yeah. And very smart. You know, he’s very, very smart. It’s quite incredible watching him do what he does,' she said on theCBS special, Adele One Night Only. 'It’d be interesting to see what my reaction is like in general to anything that hurts me now that I feel so secure in myself, and I’m talking outside of romance as well.'
