Since Meghan Markle arrived back on British soil to complete her final round of official royal engagements before she and Prince Harry step back as senior members of the family, the fashion world has noticed a change.

For four consecutive outings over the past week, the Duchess of Sussex has eschewed her usual muted beige, cream and pale pink pieces for bold, bright, attention-grabbing colours.

Whether this is intentional or not, who knows, but there has certainly been a shift in the sartorial choices for the outgoing senior royal.

Meghan continued this theme last week, judging by newly released pictures of the former actor with her husband meeting young leaders from the Queen's Commonwealth Trust, of which Harry is President and Meghan is Vice President.

For the visit, during which the couple filmed a video and held discussions with the individuals, Meghan wore the asymmetric pleated orange Glenda dress by Preen by Thornton Bregazzi.

Two days later, Meghan stunned in a red caped dress at the Mountbatten festival of music before opting for a bright green Emilia Wickstead cape-style dress when the couple reunited with the royal family at the Commonwealth Day Service earlier this week.
