Days after hosting her hotly-anticipated Savage x Fenty show at New York Fashion Week, Rihanna has thrown her annual Diamond Ball for charity.
On Thursday night, the Barbadian entrepreneur celebrated her fifth annual gala in honour of her Clara Lionel Foundation. Founded in 2012 by the singer, the organisation supports education, health and emergency response programmes around the world, most recently offering to help those affected by Hurricane Dorian in the Bahamas.
For the occasion, Rihanna was seen walked the purple-hued carpet in a high neck black couture gown by Givenchy.

The mermaid-shaped evening dress featured a full sheer white panelled skirt and was styled with a pair of pearl earrings, white pointed high heels, a red-coloured lipstick and a sleek updo.
During the festivities, Rihanna told People that she is ‘really happy right now.
‘The thing that’s making me the happiest tonight is seeing the amount of support, the magnitude of support is really special,’ she added.
‘I mean I could be out here and throw a ball by myself and I’d feel good, but the thing that’s making me feel this high of cloud nine is seeing people who believe in my cause and think it’s something worth donating to, something worth investing in.’
Other celebrities in attendance at the philanthropic shindig – which was hosted by comedian Seth Meyers – included Cardi B, RiRi’s model muse Slick Woods and Karlie Kloss, with DJ Khaled and Pharrell Williams surprising guests with performances on the night.
Ahead of the gala, Rihanna posted a video on Instagram of a little girl dancing to Pharrell’s hit single ‘Beautiful’ with Snoop Dogg, much to the delight of the musicians who shared their appreciation for the post on Instagram.
On the night, Cardi B was photographed wearing a multi-layered baby pink gown designed by Georges Hobeika. The ‘I Like It’ singer styled the look with a similar updo to Rihanna and a pair of drop diamond earrings.
Pink appeared to be the colour of the night, as seen on Woods who teamed a pair of black studded lace-up heeled boots with a strapless draped pink dress with a Perspex embellished clutch bag.
