All eyes were on Meghan Markle on Saturday afternoon as she stepped out wearing a blue and white floral toile du jouy Oscar de la Renta floor-length wrap dress (available here) for Prince Harry's cousin Celia McCorquodale's wedding.
Distracted by disappointment from royal fans on Twitter, who argued the design swamped her petite figure, we almost missed the fashion accessory that the Duchess of Sussex recycled from her royal wedding outfit.

Well, take a look at Meghan’s feet (weird request, we know). For McCorquodale's nuptials, the new royal wore the same pair of custom Aquazzura heels (similar here) that she wore on her wedding day.
Striking the perfect balance between modernity and superb craftsmanship, Aquazzura has long been a favourite footwear brand for Meghan, who incidentally wore a lace-up pair of stilettos by the label for her engagement announcement at Kensington Palace in November.
Markle’s decision to recycle her wedding shoes may be a fashion tip she’s picked up from Kate Middleton, who regularly wears the same outfit for public events, be it a scarlet red dress and pink peplum dress by Alexander McQueen, or her cream and gold Day Birger et Mikkelse coat dress and dark green L.K. Bennett skirt suit.
In fact, it was widely thought that, given the Duchess of Cambridge’s love of recycling outfits, she recycled an Alexander McQueen coat dress she’d previously worn to Princess Charlotte's christening in 2015 for Meghan and Harry’s wedding in May.
However, earlier this month an eagle-eyed royal fan pointed out the cream-coloured dress might actually have been a lookalike given the subtle difference in cuff detailing between the outfits.
Since moving to the UK, Markle has consciously displayed her willingness to recycle fashion items.
For an Anzac Day ceremony in London in April, the former Suits star wore a pair of black Sarah Flint Jay Pumps which she’d previously worn to her visit at Reprezent 107.3 FM in January.
Weeks later, the then bride-to-be rewore a black Alexander McQueen blazer, layered over a bright green Self Portrait dress for a reception for the Invictus Games, which she’d first debuted at the Endeavour Fund Awards in February.
Royal fans have been quick to notice Markle’s latest wedding outfit was reminiscent of a similar blue and white print Catherine Walker tunic worn by Prince Harry’s mother, the late Princess of Wales, during a trip to Saudi Arabia in 1986.
How adorable!
