With just a month to go until Meghan Markle and Prince Harry say ‘I do’ in St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, we're already counting down the hours until we find out which lucky fashion designer has been bestowed with the honour of creating the bride’s iconic dress.

Royal correspondent Katie Nicholl writes that Markle will have ‘a traditional bridal gown for the ceremony and reception, and a glamorous, more sophisticated dress for the evening’.

Perhaps this means the 36-year-old actress will give us a double whammy and choose two designers – one based in her home country in the US and another from her new home in the UK?

Of course, Markle won’t be the first royal bride to do a ‘Kim K’ dress swap on her big day.

For her wedding in 2011, Kate Middleton wore an iconic Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen dress for the ceremony (who can forget that high-neck lace?) and then changed into a more relaxed strapless number by the designer for the reception.

‘The plan is for her to change after the ceremony so that she can party the night away in something glamorous and less restrictive,’ a source told Nicholl.

‘Meghan can’t wait to surprise everyone, especially Harry. The wedding dress itself will be traditional and elegant. There is talk of some lace and sleeves and Meghan has been working very closely with the designer who has been sworn to secrecy.’

Forget Harry, Megs! We're far more excited to see what you'll be wearing.
